InMutual respects your right to privacy, in this Privacy Policy of InMutual we explain exactly what data we use, how and why. InMutual enables you to engage with the people that matter to you and make more effective use of your time at business events, conferences, courses and seminars.
We show the event, education, career and employment connections you have with others through your mutual networks as well as create informative networking groups on event pages to enable you to engage with the people that matter before, during and after an event. InMutual is offered by InMutual B.V., located at Rigakade 10, 1013 BC Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Read this Privacy Statement carefully before making certain choices about using this app.

 

What type of personal data is processed on InMutual?

1. If you use the InMutual app or log-in via the website, we process the following data:

  • Your name that you enter or have given through logging in via your LinkedIn account
  • Your places of work that you enter or have given through logging in via your LinkedIn account
  • Your job title(s) that you enter or have given through logging in via your LinkedIn account
  • Your places of education that you enter
  • Your past and upcoming events that you enter
  • Your profile picture that you upload or have given through logging in via your LinkedIn account
  • The networking groups you selected based on your areas of interest in the signup process and the schedule items you select to attend
  • Any photos that you choose to upload
  • Activity feed posts that you post in the activity feed of any event or other network
  • Direct messages that you send
  • Your email address
  • Your IP address
  • Version of the operating system
  • What type of device you use to login
  • Your device ID

 

For what purposes do we use the personal data?

2. We process the data mentioned in section 1 above for the following purposes:

  • We use your name, place of work and education so that you and your mutual connections on InMutual can easily find each other and see how you are connected to one another via work or education.
  • We use your past and upcoming events (which can mean a conference, seminar, training course or exhibition) to show you and your mutual connections on InMutual how you are connected to each other via your past and upcoming events
  • We process the networking groups you select to place you in the correct groups to be able to network with the people of interest to you at the event.
  • We process your activity feed posts, photos and direct messages by sharing them with the designated network/other user on InMutual that you want to send/post the post, photo or message to.
  • We will use your email address to approach you if something goes wrong. It also helps us to prevent abuse.
  • We process IP addresses to prevent abuse.
  • We use the version of the operating system to measure which type of users there are and to make the app work optimally for our users.
  • Type of device is used for statistics about our users. This allows us to optimize the experience for as many users as possible.
  • We process device IDs to prevent abuse.
  • As soon as you delete a photo on InMutual, the photo will also be removed from our servers.
  • As soon as you delete an activity feed post on InMutual, the post will also be removed from our servers.

 

User Eligibility

You may personally use InMutual if you are at least 16 years of age.

 

Cookies and similar techniques

InMutual may use analytical tools with which we measure the use of the app. This allows us to determine which parts are most interesting, efficient and user-friendly. The statistics and reports resulting from this cannot be traced back to persons. We can also optimize the app in this way.

 

Changes to the privacy statement

InMutual continues to develop and optimize its services. We may add new functionalities to our platform. If this affects the way your personal data is processed, we will let you know in a timely manner. You will then receive a message with the location of the amended privacy statement and the date on which the new privacy statement is in effect. If you do not agree with the changes then you are free to stop using the platform.

 

Insight request

You have the right to view the personal data we use on our platform. We can send you an overview with the personal data we have about you. We may ask you for additional information to make sure that you are who you say you are in order to comply with the access request. Send your request:

Are your details not correct? Then contact our Advice and Support Centre. They can be reached via emailing to support@inmutual.com

If you wish to delete your account entirely and all the information stored and associated with it, then please send an email to support@inmutual.com

We will remove all your personal data excluding any data we are obliged to keep under law. However, please be noted this action cannot be undone. We may ask you for additional information to make sure that you are who you say you are in order to comply with the access/delete request.

 

Retention periods

The data processed in this app is stored according to our retention policy. Personal data are stored for the purpose of the InMutual platform and the statutory terms to which InMutual is bound. If you delete your profile, all data will be deleted except for any data that we are obliged to keep on the basis of a legal obligation.
